Abstract

Mpox, was previously known as monkeypox, an infectious zoonotic disease caused by the monkeypox virus, is emerging zoonosis with a significant global concern for health authorities. Initiated in Africa, the disease has now spread its roots into Europe, the American Continent, and the Central Asian Region. Due to recent appearance of few imported cases in Pakistan, Mpox has now become a matter of national concern. As communities may be exposed to combat with its challenges, the need for awareness and immediate measures has now become a matter of urgency.
